An Exquisite Evening of What’s to Come for 2013’s Bridal Couture

In the grandeur depths of the stunning newly renovated Savoy Hotel, The Couture Gallery designer Britta Kjerkegaard, couture shoe brand Freya Rose and Conde Nast Brides Magazine teamed together to launch Britta’s latest couture collection; it was a beautiful serene evening of champagne, canapés and a catwalk show.
As the show started, it was clear that the collection was inspired by the female silhouette, beautiful colours and luxurious materials, and that Britta creates her couture gowns from a place of true passion. She builds the collections combining her Scandinavian heritage of clean lines and sublime craftsmanship with a natural love of delicate laces, sumptuous silks and intricate embellishments, achieving a signature look of timeless elegance with a sense of drama.  All elements of design, which were seen as her new collection floated, down the catwalk. The show left everyone in complete awe of Britta’s amazing attention to detail and her ability to use material to sculpt the female body in long and short Bridal couture.
Shoe designer Freya Rose was at the show, to watch her beautiful shoes walk the runway, and to showcase a collection of her latest designs, including a hand embroidered lace sling back shoe made from vintage Parisian lace.
Britta & Freya, both London based designers, pride themselves in the service their teams offer. Both designers have in house atelier and workshops, enabling flexibility in the creative process and the highest standard of work.
