Weatherproof Your Big Day

As all of you Brits will know just too well, you just can't ever 100% rely on our skies to hold back the rain for your Wedding Day (and remember, if it does rain it is considered lucky!).  All you can do is keep everything crossed for sunshine and make sure you are ready if showers should come.  Here are just a few pointers to ensure your Big Day is not effected by the weather...
Space in your venue.
Make sure your venue has enough room to hold everyone for the drinks reception inside. For example, if you have a marquee make sure there is enough space for your guests to stand comfortably.
Buy or hire some brollies.
The way that I look at things... having a stock of brollies at the ready will hopefully ensure sunshine!
Pashminas at the ready.
Have a stack of colour co-ordinating pashminas at the ready for yourself and your bridesmaids... this way if it does get chilly the photographs will remain colour coordinated.
Wellingtons boots.
If you are having a rural Wedding reception and you would like photographs taken outside, whatever the weather, perhaps it is worth considering purchasing some Wedding Wellies. They can brighten up your photographs and have become quite a fun accessory for many brides.

Beat the heat.  On the flip side, if you are lucky enough to blessed with sunshine make sure your caterers are primed with cool drinks for your guests. Home-made lemonade and Pimms always go down really well when it is hot. Parasols also make a great accessory if the weather is on your side.
